Greta Coates
Clinical Psychologist
Greta is a registered Clinical Psychologist with a Master of Applied Psychology (Clinical) degree from Murdoch University. She is a member of the Australian Psychological Society.
Before joining Cambridge Psychology, Greta worked with clients at Murdoch University Child and Adult Psychology Service, the Drug and Alcohol Youth Service and private practice with Grow Your Life Psychology. She also currently facilitates both in-patient and day-patient group therapy at Abbotsford Private Hospital.
Greta strives to develop a trusting therapeutic relationship with clients by working with their strengths, building capacities where needed and moving forward to a more enriching quality of life. She works collaboratively with clients and is informed by evidence-based therapies such as:
- Cognitive Behaviour Therapy
- Schema Therapy
- Eye Movement Desensitisation Reprocessing (EMDR)
- Mindfulness meditation
Greta works with clients seeking support from a range of mental health problems, that include:
- Stress management
- Adjustment difficulties
- Depression
- Anxiety
Disorders of Addiction (alcohol and other drugs, gambling).
