Marie Sevastos
Clinical Psychologist
Marie Sevastos is a Clinical Psychologist with a First Class Honours in Psychology (Murdoch University) and a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology (Murdoch University). She is registered with the Psychology Board of Australia and is an Associate Member of the Australian Psychological Society.
Marie has an interest in working with adolescents and adults in the assessment and treatment of a variety of psychological difficulties. She has over 10 years of experience as a Clinical Psychologist and has worked in a variety of clinical settings within the public and private sector, including the Western Australia Department of Health. She facilitated weekly therapeutic groups at Abbotsford Private Hospital for 9 years and was the sole facilitator of the weekly Schema therapy and Women’s group for 5 years. Alongside this work she is completing a PhD at Murdoch University investigating the role of psychological stress and relaxation on health and well-being.
Informed by evidence-based treatments and the needs of the client, Marie works collaboratively to her assist clients develop skills that cultivate personal well-being and psychological growth.
Marie uses a number of psychological approaches based on her training in:

- Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
- Comprehensive Resource Model (CRM)
